Part of what we do is collect and refurbish donated electronics so that we can provide those in need with the tools necessary to support their professional journey. For as far back as I can remember, helping others has always been the driving force behind the vast majority of my choices and actions. Whether it's a person in need or an animal in distress, I always set forth to offer aid in any way possible. When at times I was unable to help a situation, I'd be left with a sense of impending doom over my head. Whether I enjoy the feeling of giving help a bit too much or overall I'm just aiming to make a positive impact, I'm a strong believer in doing all things with true kindness. Cyber-Samaritan was born with kindness in mind.
That's what The Cyber-Samaritan Project is: a union of diverse efforts brought together to hopefully make a notable difference. Emphasis should be put on the fact that technology can easily be used as a diverse tool for creating a more caring and unified society in multiple different ways.
We’ll pick up your electronics donation from a spot that works for you or if you prefer, you can bring your items directly to us. It's simple and convenient. Just let us know what you prefer, and we'll make it happen. Your donation helps keep electronics out of landfills and provides great supports to those that are lacking simple but significant tools for success!
Refurbish For Repurpose
Any digital equipment that is surrendered to us is refurbished with security and privacy in mind. This means that we completely erase any information that may be left on a system's hard drive and we do it in your presence while explaining the process in simple terms. We will also provide you with a small leaflet explaining the process of refurbishing electronics, how this helps the environment and the community and inform you on how to keep yourself, your family and your business safe from identity theft and data exploitation.
We ask that you make sure to Reset To Factory Settings any devices you wish to donate before you give them up for donation. This is a practice you should follow regardless of which recycling facility your old equipment is going to end up in. If you are unsure on how to Reset Device(s) To Factory Settings, we recommend trying a Google Search or going to the Tutorials section of this site. If you're still experiencing trouble, we will be more than happy to guide you through the process ourselves.
